The Oregon Blueberry is an old clone collected in the late 90’s of unknown exact origin.  But rumored to have been a localized heavy yielding Big Bud style “blueberry” cutting from the 1980’s.  Unlikely to be of DJ Short origin.    A huge fluffy Big Bud type variety that washes approximately 3.5 - 4% fresh frozen with a blueberry muffin old school sweet hash plant kind of aroma.  Nice melty hash, tasty, beautiful light color.  Large Biomass yield as well.  Not “pretty” aka “purple” enough for today’s marketplace, but unique herb none the less.  The Rainbow Belts #20 on the other hand is no slouch in filling the modern candy market demand.  Well known around world for doing so.  There is quite a good bit of color that comes out on some of the Blue Belts progeny.   Surprising given the “green” dominant nature of the parental clones themselves. The aroma is more of an assaulting Gassy sharp funk with some Blueberry notes rather than sweet or soft candied blueberry jam of the Oregon Blueberry mom.  A bit of an anomaly given the “sweet” nature of both parent plants. But as they say, sometimes genetics “skip a generation”.  And they sure did in some of the progeny of this hybrid.  A nice mix of new and old, especially if you’re looking to potentially hit the jackpot, and rediscover that danker side of the blueberry profile from the mid to late 90’s.
