The Banana OG, created by Orgnkid, is a classic mix of the Dutch staple, Skunk#1 - lineage in the Sagarmatha’s 60/40 and the original OG Kush clone that he received through Josh D provenance in ~2001. Banana OG is (OG Kush x Sagarmatha’s 60/40). Banana OG has a unique banana peel sweetness and dark earthy funk that produces excellent yields of banana runts aroma’d flower with a slight earthy funk behind it. A well known “dumper” of hashish as well.. The Banana OG is a frost monster in her own right, but the Planet Purple F2 male just steps it up to a whole other level. The best genotypes display a runts candy tropical banana/fried plantain profile backed with deep musky kush heavy notes. Not earthy, but deep, dank herbal funk from the OG parentage in both lines. Some with notes of Z from the Rainbow Belts lineage. Resin content is stellar and there’s genotypes ideal for both the flower smokers and hash producers alike. Our selected keeper yielded 4.6% to rosin, but I selected for the better smoking flower and it still did exceptionally well in the wash for the unique and highly improved flavor profile. The larger, more Banana OG dominant genotypes with the slightly longer flower times have some absolute resin and biomass monsters. Courtesy of the classic, highly inbred, Skunk #1 in the Banana OG. Be aware, those high yielders, don’t typically carry the depth of flavor and complexity of the greasier individuals. But a good F2 of the line could really open up the possibilities of creating a holy grail. One with the FLAVOR and the MASSIVE YIELDS. It’s possible to find it herein the F1, but tightening up the expressions in an F2 could really make the difference in population size necessary to find your ideal mix. Excellent for beginners and expert growers alike. Faster flowering times than the Banana OG, and the option to select either an improved Banana OG flower type with Kushy/Sherb/Z depth, or a monster washer without the earthy-ness of the Banana OG. There’s a little something in here for everyone, especially those looking to enjoy their own, home bred, Bananarama.
