Ever.  Not even close, really.  And we’ve had the selection for a decade!  Granted we don’t grow her all the time.  But that’s because she’s just that damn hard to grow!  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eShe’s highly sensitive to nitrogen overfertilization.  Unless you’re running a room full of her, she will ALWAYS be the first to show nutrient toxicity when everything else in the room is happy.  Shoot, she’ll still be pissed off about that nitrogen when the rest of your room is already turning flat yellow.  She goes into spiky growth, burnt growth tips, low yield and dark green growth easily.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIf you back off the nutrients, she rewards you with some beautiful herb.  As she starts to senesce deep into flower and her leaves turn dark purple with mottled green\/purple camo-style flowers at the end, her aroma just POPS.  It blossoms into a deep old school Irene OG dominant heavy weight og\/bubba\/hash plant fuel scent with a highly aromatic Zkittlez almost rose water pungent floral bouquet on top.  And she translates extremely well in the smoke!  Your taste buds dazzle with the #7.  I have another Irene x Zkittlez #4 with nearly the same dank smell that grows way better! But the flavor just ISN’T THE SAME.  And that proved to be the case in this hybrid as well.  The #7 just produced better flavor in the progeny.  No question.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMixing her with 5 males from the Flavour Pack (Hollywood PK (OG Kush type) x Moonbow F1) really gives a wider range on unique profiles to emerge. Some lean deep into the purple floral bouquet.  Some take on the deep Flavour Pack chemical Kush dominant profile.  While some go Bubba\/Irene heavy hash plant funk.  A nice mix of eclectic and special flavors to hunt through.  There are gem “sports” to be found in this line.  I’ll be keeping as many of these lottery tickets as I can. To grow when space allows over the next 10 years.  And I’m sharing the rest with you guys!  I can’t keep this Knockout all to myself, there’s enough of her to go around, if you can handle her!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWarning: Chasing these unique flavors is not without its’ faults!  The Irene is well known for throwing some hermaphroditic traits into the progeny, and this hybrid is no exception.  If you find plants with weird growth traits.  Such as extra branches at the branching nodes, fused growth tips, and odd-looking flower clusters especially at internodal branch sites (all Irene OG traits), then be on the vigilant look out for hermaphrodites when growing from seed.  The clones. Like the original Irene, don’t seem to have much issue.  Sometimes this is just the case when trying to work with the super dank, rare individual plants.  No breeding project is ever complete! At the end of the day, breeding a “perfect” plant is an idealistic goal, but likely not a real destination!  I don’t mind taking the road less traveled though! People could finally get their hands on seeds that produced nearly identical candied, even exaggerated, Z terps in a vast majority of the seed population in Rainbow Belts 1.0.  And that was in 2017!  The ones that fell outside the more traditional Z profile were even more impressive! Essentially a display of all the dissected flavor profiles in Zkittlez.  Some Lime candy, some purply skurp wild berry ones, some deep Kush like Lysol lemon chemical candy, and everything in between.  Belts 1.0 dissected the Z flavor into its’ best parts and lets you choose your path.  Belts 2.0 refined it into the profile I really enjoy and selected for. I think the Original Diesel makes better hybrids as well!  Haha.  But let’s be real here.   Diesel is one of the harder profiles to put into seed form (especially F1) and get results that match or exceed the parental diesel’s quality.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn my experience, the best shit shows up in the F2’s and beyond. Mostly.  And I don’t think Diesel is any exception to that general rule. The “F1” line is where you make your selections in the direction you’d like to go.  It doesn’t mean the first generation is going to be the end all be all.  But that active work and selective pressure of inbreeding on that first generation eliminates a lot of the deleterious genes and individuals that are hiding in these old “sport” polyhybrids.  And doing that work helps, massively, to narrow down the gene pool into a workable population size.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Planet Purple F2 male has proven time and again to play well with other plants and lend his incredible resin content and plant performance to his progeny.  The male moves in unison, symbiotically with the flavor profile of the Original Diesel.   Deep sweet fuel-y diesel. In this “F1”, some lean a little more earthy\/doughy like sherb\/cookies, some turn a little brighter and more effervescent from the Z in the Planet purple.  But the best ones that are an eclectic mix of old school burnt rubbery chemmy fuel and diesel-y sweet oily sherb Z notes are best, in my opinion.  These plants tend to be in the medium flowering time range.  65-75 days. The long flowering ones typically retain too much of the diesel’s long flowering attributes. Which are generally undesirable.  But don’t count all of them out!  If taken the distance (80+ days) some of those long flowering ones will really show out and may become your favorite smoke!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn my opinion, this line is an excellent starting place for an Original Diesel breeding project.  I’ve been holding the Schroomy420 Original Diesel clone since 2004.  There’s no question as to its’ provenance.  And she’s bred with a modern, proven, champion male.  It just needs a couple of generations of good selections and inbreeding\/generational in-crossing to pull some of the best profiles out of the Original Diesel line and thrust into the dominant part of its’ gene pool.  At that point, you will truly have the Planet Diesel in the palm of your hand.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Rkive ","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":45270454009940,"sku":null,"price":150.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0611\/2280\/5844\/files\/Planet-Diesel-041_405537e5-9b63-4400-96bb-4ccfec43890c.png?v=1776691516"},{"product_id":"triple-threat","title":"Triple Threat","description":"\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMoonglow #9  (Moonbow 112 x Planet Purple F2) is one of the all-time best performing plants in terms of yield, high cannabinoid testing, and ease of growth that I’ve selected from the Moonbow crosses.  I’ve seen mediocre cultivators hit 70+ grams a square foot with her.  And testing always comes back at 29-31%. No matter how much you abuse her.  She really performs on every level.  And the rec market loves her.  But she lacks just a little punch in the nostrils for the heady connoisseur.  Her nose is about 80% of Moonbow 112 with a lil bit of the doughy OGKB smell from the Dosidos, instead of the 112’s DANKY blackberry OG funk background.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSlamming the two most terpy plants you have together doesn’t always yield the best results though!   Sometimes the flavors clash. Or get muddled.  With enough trial and error and a little finesse, complementary combinations can be found.  Ideally, with a highly productive plant.  Taking a taste maker line like the Flavour Pack and pairing it with a vigorous heavy yielding near distant relative like the Moon Glow, is an excellent way to re-introduce plant performance into a flavor focused line. While still maintaining, true to type flavor\/nose\/potency of the parental line you’re trying to preserve. Or even improve upon. If that says anything!  It really is my favorite of the original Moonbow seed pop, to smoke.  A little finicky to grow would be my main complaint.  But a good performer when dialed in and happy.  A stellar batch of the flower is where she’s hard to beat.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eEver since the initial geno-hunt, I always described her as the “Diesel” type of the bunch.  She’s got this deep fuel-y dank greasy oil funk to her that has always been reminiscent of the best Schroomy’s Original Diesel I ever grew 20 years ago.  It’s that dank diesel-y sweet heavy oily petrol station fumes laced with the dankest plum\/dark berry fruit roll up moonbow terp.  Delightful.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCrossed to the Oishii, this hybrid really explores the deeper diesel-y 2 stroke oil side of the line.  In flavor and in color as well.  This is the greener side of the line.  As a product of market conditions and consumer demand, a lot of today’s popular selections are geared towards the more floral\/fruity\/purple side of the flavor spectrum.  This is NOT THAT.  This is the heavy oil 2 stroke diesel fuel sweet green antifreeze funkadelic herb.  There’s even sweet incense-y Oishi petrol fumes in some genotypes that leave the room smelling something special!  The 99 is special in a lot of ways.  She plays well with other lines. In a lot of cases, accentuating the other parents’ already desirable attributes instead of dulling them.  Another is that she imparts insane resin coverage onto a percentage of her progeny.  Insane bag appeal and the flavor to match.
